Abstract: The structure of a planar detonation wave is analyzed for an Eulerian mixture of ideal gases undergoing the symmetric reversible explosive reactionThe chemical rate law is derived from the reactive Boltzmann equation, showing a detailed chemical kinetics in terms of a second-order reaction rate.
