Abstract:Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially ammonium levels affecting fish health, is challenging due to limitations in traditional methods. This study presents an innovative capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer for real‐time ammonium concentration monitoring. The sensor operates through ammonium‐induced dissociation in the hydrogel, causing osmotic pressure changes and altering electrode capacitance. Analytical formulations verified by finite element simulations demonstrate the sensor's ab… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
