Abstract: Hydrogel‐forming microneedles are constructed from or coated with polymeric, hydrophilic materials that swell upon insertion into the skin. Designed to dissolve or disintegrate postinsertion, these microneedles can deliver drugs, vaccines, or other therapeutics.
