Abstract:Highlights H2O2-assisted pasteurization led to >9.3 log10 removal of E. coli and >5.8 phage. Synergistic effects were obtained for E. coli inactivation. Quadratic empirical models for E. coli and phage inactivation were proposed. No correlation was found for H2O2 residuals and water temperature. H2O2 may increase robustness of pasteurization setups for POE applications.
