Abstract:In this study, hydrogen peroxide-modified biochars from wetland plants were synthesized and employed for aqueous bisphenol A (BPA) removal, which achieved equilibrium within 300 min. The adsorption trend increased with increasing initial BPA concentration or contact time before reaching adsorption equilibrium. The pseudosecond-order adsorption kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption isotherm model fitted well with the adsorption data. The maximum adsorption capacities of Phragmites australis and Typha orientalis… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
