“…It is exciting that the rare four‐pointed star‐shaped oxalic acid coordination was discovered (Figures 3a and 3b). [ 21‐22 ] This injects new life into the classic field of oxalate metal coordination chemistry. As shown in Figure S3, the strong C—H···π interaction between dodecanuclear clusters leads to the close packing of R‐2 in the unit cell, forming a supramolecular structure (C—H···π: 2.87 Å, 2.93 Å, 2.96 Å, 3.09 Å).…”

“…This is a rare example with tetradentate carboxylate groups linking different metals in a bridging-chelating-bridging mode. For example, in La 2 (C 2 O 4 )(SO 4 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 , the oxalate group adopts the bridgingchelating-bridging coordination mode [15] and emits bright red luminescence. This article presents the synthesis, structures and luminescent properties of three Eu complexes.…”

“…In this work, we chose oxalic acid as O-donor due to its strong ability to bind metals and adopt many kinds coordination modes (Scheme ). At the same time, a series of N-heterocyclic organic ligands as N-donors were also applied to prepare supramolecular compounds based on mixed ligands. Four compounds constructed by covalent or noncovalent interactions or both were obtained: [Zn(ox)(Him)] n ( 1 ), [Zn(bta) 2 ] n ( 2 ), [Zn(na) 2 (H 2 O) 4 ] n ( 3 ), and [Cd 2 (ox)(OH) 2 ] n ( 4 ) (ox = oxalate anion, Him = imidazole, bta = benzotriazole anion, and na = nicotinic anion), which display strong fluorescent emissions at room temperature.…”
