Abstract:SummaryA case of recurrent osteoradionecrosis of the mandible, presenting 15 years after radiation therapy, is treated by a combination of surgery, antibiotics and exposure to hyperbaric oxygen. Mucosal cover of bone that had been exposed for six years was obtained after 18 days treatment. Osteoradionecrosis and the rationale behind its treatment with hyperbaric oxygen is discussed.
