Abstract:Background: Appendicitis is one of the commonest causes of abdominal pain requiring emergency surgery. Diagnosing acute appendicitis clinically still remains a common surgical problem as the clinical signs and symptoms of other abdominal pathologic conditions mimic the diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
