Abstract:In this manuscript, common chemical engineering transport-reaction systems are modeled by taking into consideration the inertia in the transport phenomena, leading to hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs), which have finite speed of propagation. The findings provide the derivation of the hyperbolic transport-reaction PDEs and a direct comparison with their corresponding dissipative parabolic PDEs. The stability analysis of the dynamical systems is considered and complemented by numerical simulations… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
