Abstract:Ultrafine and nearly spherical Mn-Zn ferrite particles are prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions. Magnetic hyperfine field distributions in these microcrystallites are investigated in relation to their particle size distributions. The hydrothermal ferrite powders are found to be superparamagnetic, with a narrow particle size distribution peaking at 11.5 nrn. High densities (>99.7% of theoretical) are obtained upon sintering the green ferrites at relatively low temperatures (1000 "C), without the use of a… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
