Using time-resolved laser spectroscopy lifetime values as well as hyperfine coupling constants have been determined for the 4s2np zP3/2 (n=7-11) states in 69Ga and 71Ga.Theoretical calculations of hyperfine structures based on many-body perturbation theory have been performed in the same sequence (n=4-8) for both fine-structure components. The theoretical values are compared with existing experimental data.
