“…After subcutaneous or intravenous administration cadmium is concentrated predominantly in the kidneys, liver (Berlin and Ullberg, 1963;Lucis et al, 1969), pancreas, spleen, and intestine (Decker and Byerrum, 1956), and even in the endocrine glands (Berlin and Ullberg, 1963). During the 10 minutes after intravenous administration the content of cadmium in liver quickly increases whereas the content of the kidneys remains relatively constant in the same period (Perry et al, 1970). Berlin and Ullberg (1963) studied the body distribution of cadmium in mice at various times after a single intravenous dose of 109CdC12, using the autoradiography method with sagittal whole-body sections.…”
