Abstract:Hypolipidemic effect of fruit juice of Hippophae rhamnoides L was evaluated in 1% cholesterol and 10% ground nut oil diet induced hyper cholesteremic models of New Zealand rabbits. The fruit juice at 0.46ml/kg body weight reduced the elevated serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride, low density cholesterol (LDL-C), atherogenic index, and C - reactive protein levels on diet induced rabbits.
