Hypotension: diagnostic criteria, pathogenetic mechanisms, personalized approach to diagnosis and treatment (lecture)

Abstract: Blood pressure (BP) and its level are indicators of human health and the object of research in recent decades. However, not only elevated BP, but also reduced BP (acute and chronic) are one part of the J-shaped curve of increased risk of cardiovascular diseases [1, 2]. Nevertheless, the problem of arterial hypotension (AH) remains poorly understood today. The article discusses the diagnostic criteria of AH, its pathophysiological mechanisms and approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
