Abstract:Cirrus cloud contributes significantly to Earth's radiation budget and the greenhouse effect. The Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) onboard the Himawari-8 satellite lacks a 1.37 µm band, sensitive to monitoring cirrus clouds.
