Hypothyroidism Increases 90-Day Complications and Costs Following Primary Total Knee Arthroplasty

Abstract: This study demonstrated an increased risk of multiple postoperative complications and higher costs among patients with hypothyroidism following primary TKA. Surgeons should counsel patients on these findings and seek preoperative optimization strategies to reduce these risks and lower costs in this patient population.
