Thermal property of the silk fibroin scaffolds has triggered rocketing
interest in tissue engineering because it affects greatly the scaffolds
reliability and efficiency. This paper suggests a promising method to
optimize the scaffolds by a tyrosinase-catalyzed self-cross-linking
reaction, the effects of tyrosinase concentrations on scaffolds thermal and
physical properties are studied experimentally. The enzymatic cross-linking
offers a new and promising angle for preparation of SF materials.
