Abstract: Glutaredoxins (Grxs) are small, ubiquitous, multi-functional proteins present in different compartments of plant cells. A chloroplast targeted class I GRX (CcGRXS12) gene was isolated from Capsicum chinense during the pepper mild mottle virus (PMMoV) infection.
