Abstract:Costus igneus, commonly known as the insulin plant, is a potent medicinal herb with a wide range of pharmacological activities. Traditionally used in diabetes management, recent studies have highlighted its antidiabetic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, hepatoprotective, and kidney stone inhibitor properties.
