Abstract:The poultry red mite (PRM), Dermanyssus gallinae (De Geer), and the northern fowl mite (NFM), Ornithonyssus sylviarum (Canestrini and Fanzago), are the most serious pests of poultry, both of which have an expanding global prevalence.
