(E)-2-Phenyl-3-(2-phenylindolizin-3-yl)acrylonitrile

Abstract

In the title compound, C23H16N2, the two bulky substituents, phenyl and 2‐phenyl­indolizin‐3‐yl are situated on the same side of the C=C double bond, resulting in an E configuration. This configuration minimizes the interatomic contacts. There are weak C—H⋯π inter­actions between neighboring mol­ecules related by an inversion center.
