Abstract: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a cluster of several human conditions including abdominal obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and hyperglycemia, all of which are risk factors of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
