Abstract: Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are biodegradable polyesters produced by a wide range of microorganisms, including extremophiles. These unique microorganisms have gained interest in PHA production due to their ability to utilise low‐cost carbon sources under extreme conditions.
