In situ green synthesis of highly fluorescent Fe2O3@CQD/graphene oxide using hard pistachio shells via the hydrothermal‐assisted ball milling method

Abstract: In this study, highly photoluminescent and photocatalytic Fe2O3@carbon quantum dots/graphene oxide nanostructures were synthesized using ball milling‐assisted hydrothermal synthesis with hard pistachio shells. Different analyses, such as X‐ray diffraction, energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to study the product structure. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy images were used to study product size and morphology. Optical prope… Show more

“…S3 †) has also been carried out, as an indicator to optimize the synthesis criteria for TE-CQDs. The FT-IR spectra of TE-CQDs and its precursor exhibits absorption band at $3322 cm À1 , 2930 cm À1 , 2849 cm À1 , 1734 cm À1 , 1707 cm À1 , 1567 cm À1 , 1015 cm À1 , and 831 cm À1 ascribes to O- 31,39,58 respectively. The presence of symmetric and asymmetric stretching of CH 2 reveals that the carbon quantum dots primarily consist of hydrocarbons.…”

“…Figure 2 shows the TEM image of CDBU and CDTD at 180 ℃ and 3 h. The nearly spherical form of the produced CDs, as seen by TEM observation, could be explained by the presence of CD structures [55]. They are uniformly scattered and typically have diameters between 2 and 10 nm.…”
