Abstract: Objective To obtain normative data for the canine cornea and conjunctiva using high-resolution Time- and Fourier-Domain optical coherence tomography (TD-OCT and FD-OCT) and ultrasound pachymetry (USP). “…With rapid progression to persistent superficial corneal ulceration, often complicated with secondary infection and chronic ocular irritation, endophthalmitis and enucleation are unfortunately too often selected for canine patients with CED. Several forms of prophylactic surgical intervention have been published to intervene early and prevent disease progression, including thermokeratoplasty, superficial keratectomy and conjunctival advancement hood flap .
