Abstract:Peritoneal dialysis (PD)-associated peritonitis is a common cause of mortality among patient undergoing PD. Although nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) account for only 1%-3% and 0.4% of PDassociated peritonitis worldwide and in Taiwan respectively, the mortality of affected individuals can reach 30%-40%.
