Remreed Switching Networks for No. 1 and No. 1A ESS: Physical Design of Remreed Switching Networks

Abstract: Five new switching frames have been designed for use in No. 1 and No. 1A ess central offices. These new frames utilize the recently developed remreed sealed contact and are equipped with electronic network controllers. The new remreed switching frames occupy approximately one‐quarter the floor space required for the ferreed switching frames that they replace.
