Key Takeaways In 2020, the Texas Living Waters Project reprised its innovative 2016 Texas Water Conservation Scorecard. The revised scores indicated no significant improvement overall in municipal water conservation efforts, but there were some positive trends. The updated scorecard found that water loss control remains a major challenge for Texas water utilities, including those in large cities. The potential for further advancing water conservation in Texas remains strong, and several utilities provide models for success.
