Abstract: Mei.o.ther'mus. Gr. prefix meio ‐ less; Gr. adj. thermos hot; N.L. masc. n. Meiothermus to indicate an organism in a less hot place. “Deinococcus‐Thermus” / Deinococci / Thermales / Thermaceae / Meiothermus Straight rods, 0.4–1.0 µm in width; the cell length is variable.
