State of the Art Reviews: Using the Internet to Promote Physical Activity and Healthy Eating in Youth

Abstract: The prevalence of overweight children and adolescents is increasing at alarming rates. Since 1980, the prevalence of overweight among children aged 6 to 11 years has more than doubled and more than tripled among adolescents aged 12 to 19. Innovative, effective weight loss strategies that effectively promote healthy eating and physical activity are needed to address this obesity epidemic.
