“…Understanding social media as strongly ambivalent channels (Allen et al, 2014), we agree with Boyd (2014) on the need to overcome polarized approaches frequently found in studies on this subject, by adopting a more nuanced and context-aware approach. To do so and building on our previous research (del Rio Carral et al, 2021; del Río Carral et al, 2022) we designed a research project entitled “Navigating through a postfeminist social media culture: Young women’s experiences of health and wellbeing – MeStories Study”.
