ICP-MS analysis of metal and metalloid concentrations of common microbiological growth media reveals presence of heavy metals

Abstract: Trace elements such as cobalt and manganese play important roles as cofactors of enzymes, and thus, they collectively impact on biochemistry and cellular metabolism.
