Abstract

Se em meu mestrado escrevi que a Dra. Carmen Lúcia Del Bianco Rossi-Wongtschowski era uma mãe científica, o que escrever agora, passados quatro anos? Poderia dizer que ela é uma Orientadora, assim mesmo, em maiúsculo. Porém, não há como agradecer com palavras, mas somente honrando, com muita responsabilidade e para o resto de minha vida, os ensinamentos, a disciplina, a seriedade, o respeito, o profissionalismo, a confiança e retribuindo o carinho que me têm sido dedicados.Também pude contar com a dedicação, competência, minuciosidade e amizade do Prof. Dr. José Lima de Figueiredo, meu co-orientador. Morphometric analysis of two sympatric species ofPerinereis(Annelida: Nereididae) from the Brazilian coast

“…The criteria used by Santos & Steiner (2006) to distinguish both species and that were used for a prior identification of these species at the outset of the study were: P. anderssoni possesses fewer number of paragnaths on area I in the proboscis than P. ponteni; P. ponteni possesses one paragnath on area V while P. anderssoni possesses three; P. anderssoni presents notopodial ligule longer and wider in median and posterior body chaetigers than P. ponteni ; in P. anderssoni notopodial cirri extends beyond the apex of the notopodial ligules in the anterior region of the body, while in P. ponteni it is shorter.…”

Larval growth of hake (Merluccius hubbsi) in the Patagonian shelf: Analysis of two reproductive seasons

“…Although several studies regarding growth of adult specimens of M. hubbsi have been performed (Lorenzo, 2003;Norbis et al, 1999;Renzi et al, 1999;Vaz-dos-Santos and Rossi-Wongtschowski, 2007), little information is available with reference to growth of M. hubbsi during early life stages. Santos et al (2005) studied growth of Argentine hake during its juvenile stage (26-190 mm total length) and Buratti and Santos (2010) determined the settlement time. Brown et al (2004) determined the larval growth of hake for the first time but the authors considered a narrow size range (2-11 mm TL).…”
