Abstract:G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are transmembrane proteins crucial for signal transduction in eukaryotes, responding to diverse extracellular signals. Researchers have found 14 distinct types of GPCRs in fungi, but their distribution among numerous fungal species has remained largely unexamined.
