Abstract:Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver cancer worldwide. Cancer cells’ local infiltration, proliferation, and spread are mainly influenced by the protein hydrolyzing function of different matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs).
