Abstract:One of the most frequently encountered problems in handling bananas is the ease of it characteristic to decay so they cannot be stored longer. Thus a technology is needed to increase the shelf life of banana. The use an absorber from coconut shell charcoal which is applied with potassium permanganate is a method that can be used.
