Abstract: Background: Somatic cell nuclear transplantation (SCNT) can transform highly differentiated donor nuclei into pluripotent nuclei through the large-scale reprogramming of chromatin. The reprogramming of chromatin has been documented to take place in the first few hours after SCNT embryo activation.
