Abstract: Environmental stresses can disrupt protein structure, resulting in unfolded or misfolded proteins, thereby triggering endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. The unfolded protein response (UPR), particularly as activated by Arabidopsis AtbZIP60 gene, is pivotal for counteracting ER stress and ensuring cell survival.
