Abstract: Thrombin-Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor (TAFI) is a carboxypeptidase B-like proenzyme encoded by the CPB2 gene. After thrombin activation, TAFI downregulates fibrinolysis, thus linking the latter with coagulation.
