“…Additionally, the ceRNA network was altered in the placentas of PE patients. For example, Luo et al [31] illustrated the differential expression of 726 lncRNAs, 49 miRNAs, and 318 mRNAs in the placentas of PE patients, while Chen et al [32] showed differentially expressed 207 lncRNAs and 33 mRNAs in PE from umbilical vein endothelial cells. This evidence shows that the expression pattern of RNAs profiles was significantly changed in trophoblast cells under hypoxia, which might be involved in the pathophysiology of PE.…”

“…It has been reported that some dysregulated lncRNAs are involved in PE progression. Luo et al [18] reported 726 DElncRNAs and 318 DEmRNAs in placentas from PE patients. Zhang et al [19] found 246 DElncRNAs and 224 DEmRNAs in EOPE samples.…”

“…Since the competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network hypothesis was proposed in 2011, researchers have become increasingly aware of the possible potential application of ceRNA network regulation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases [10]. Based on the findings of these studies on pregnant diseases [11][12][13][14][15], we hypothesize that there may be a broad and complex ceRNA regulatory network that will induce SA when network regulation is disrupted. We anticipate that our viewpoint will be helpful as a reference and will aid future research into the pathogenesis of SA and the search for potential RNA markers for diagnosis and treatment.…”
