Abstract: Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) encompass various conditions affecting the heart and its blood vessels. Some CVDs, such as ischemic heart disease, angina, stroke, and atherosclerosis, are often linked with oral microbes. The link between the oral cavity and CVDs is complex.
