S. platyclados is the most common plant species found in the Ancient Martelu Nature Reserve, this can be seen from the results of IVI acquisition for S. platyclados reaching 173,044, followed by Cratoxylum formosum (24,609), Styrax benzoin (14,699), Ficus benjamina (11,358), Litsea elliptica (8,581), and Gamblea malayana (6,592).
