Identification of Primary and Metastatic Lung Cancer-Related lncRNAs and Potential Targeted Drugs Based on ceRNA Network

Abstract: Lung cancer metastasis is the leading cause of poor prognosis and death for patients. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been validated the close correlation with lung cancer metastasis, but few comprehensive analyses have reported the specific association between lncRNA and cancer metastasis, especially via both competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) regulatory relationships and functional regulatory networks. Here, we constructed primary and metastatic ceRNA networks, identified 12 and 3 candidate lncRNAs for lung… Show more

“…The lncRNAs AC037459.2 , AC125807.2 , and ILF3-DT were downregulated across all models of all donor groups post-HDIR. AC037459.2 was previously associated with intracellular signal transduction and likely associated with carcinogenesis ( 47 ). Moreover, AC037459.2 might act jointly with PPP3CC , a neighboring gene, to be involved with osteosarcoma and further cancers by regulating apoptosis and the MAPK signaling pathway, with the need for further research, as the authors themselves stated ( 48 ).…”

“…Considering the importance of the key drivers in autophagy-related ceRNA network [43], a novel ceRNA subnetwork was extracted according to topological properties calculated by the NetworkAnalyzer Tool, including 2 lncRNAs (HOTTIP, LINC00520), 2 DEmiRNAs (miR-125b, miR-181d), and 3 DEmRNAs (BCL2, FKBP1A, and RPS6KB1). HOTTIP, miR-125b, and BCL2 have been studied for their roles in autophagy-related chemoresistance in cancer.…”

“…Lung cancer metastasis is closely related to poor prognosis and survival outcomes in patients and is largely a result of alterations in gene expression, structure, and function [28]. As such, we investigated the correlations between significantly dysregulated eRNAs and cancer metastasis.…”
