“…Pink to red medium coloration has been reported before e.g. from older PDA cultures of Hypomyces / Cladobotryum strains (Back et al 2010 ; Carrasco et al 2016 ; Muhammad et al 2019 ). Hypomyces / Cladobotryum species are known to produce aurofusarin as pigment (Rogerson and Samuels 1989 ; Põldmaa 2011 ; Tamm and Põldmaa 2013 ; Carrasco et al 2016 ) which changes in color from yellow to red depending on the pH (Ashley et al 1937 ).…”

“…Mushrooms are rich sources of carbohydrates, proteins and macro‐ and micro‐elements with low fats contents. Peaks and spectra created by FTIR could well elaborate compositional analysis based on functional groups . The significance of FTIR was its ability for more specific characterization of nucleic acid, proteins, sugars, lipids, starch and macrostructure through functional groups .…”

“…The significance of FTIR was its ability for more specific characterization of nucleic acid, proteins, sugars, lipids, starch and macrostructure through functional groups . Some early studies delineated chemical characteristics for truffles and various species of Amanita and Agaricus bisporus using peaks and functional groups by FTIR spectra . One of the objectives of this study was to verify whether various concentrations of GB affect the nutritional profile of king oyster strains as FTIR is a non‐destructive, rapid and phase interval technique that can recognize an inclusive range of functional groups and very sensitive to dissimilarity occurring in molecular structure.…”

“…Some early studies outlined the chemical characteristics for Agaricus bisporus and various strains of Pleurotus eryngii using peaks and functional groups detected by FTIR spectra (Idrees et al, 2019;Khan et al, 2019). One of the objectives of this study was to evaluate the differences between various strains of A. cornea mushroom, as FTIR is a non-destructive, quick and phase-interval method that is highly sensitive to dissimilarities occurring in the molecular structure and identifies a wide range of functional groups (Muhammad et al, 2019).…”
