Identification of Single‐Particle Configurations at Very High Spin in Some Rare‐Earth Nuclei

Abstract

A b s t r a c t . The nuclear behaviour a t high angular momenta is studied by y-rays emitted in (HI, Xn) reaction. The study of very-high spin sttates in 1 5 3 H~ via discrete-line y-ray spectroscopy and a comparison between the partial decay schemes of Is3Ho and the neighbouring 153Dy and 1S4Er nuclei are discussed in the context of the high spin slxucture. Second, we present comments on some phenomena observed a t high spin states in 15%o and 15zDy nuclei.
