Abstract: Tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) diseases are infections caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria such as Mycobacterium avium complex, leading to the formation of granulomatous lesions with caseous necrosis in the lungs.
