Surabaya health service hospital uses the Medical Management System (M applications). However, the application is rarely evaluated. Inputs or feedback obtained from user cases, especially This study, is written to report the improvement of the SIMRS application model based on a heuristic assessment method. The method used in this study was to distribute questionnaires to the research objects that were evaluated, calculate the results of the heuristic assessment using the severity rating method, and then improve the model using the usability theory. This research consists of five usability components that demand improvement: visibility of system status, a match between the system and the real world, user control and freedom, error prevention, and recognition rather than recall. The conclusion is that five usability aspects have been fixed by following the concepts in the heuristic evaluation theory developed in designing a user interface model for the SIMRS application. This research employed a heuristic evaluation approach, which could determine the number of usability problems to be repaired. From the research, the level of problems in the SIMRS application user interface was minor problems. These problem solutions were given low priority in a SIMRS application model adapted to the usability principle.

In the field of digital humanities, it is increasingly necessary to develop and validate virtual reality tools that are capable of combining various scientific data in a virtualized context providing also access and user friendly consultation of online repositories. This paper reports the main aspects of the implementation of a virtual reality tool integrated with an online repository for storing 3D models, metadata and chemical analyses related to different sectors of digital humanities. The virtual reality software, developed for the Oculus Quest 2 hardware, is called PROTEUS and allows for seamless transition from the macroscopic world of digital humanities to the microscopic world of molecular sciences. The paper illustrates, by means of some case studies, the performances of this innovative tool that permits the researcher to understand and manipulate objects, to test hypotheses and to seek meaningful results, visualising the metadata while changing the parameters of the simulation in a dynamic and interactive way. This represents also a significant step forward in the democratisation of science, thanks to an user-friendly and immersive access to advanced scientific algorithms, which allow the natural perception of structural and topological features of the underlying molecular and supra-molecular systems. Hundreds of Libraries, Archives, and Museums (LAMs) around the world run crowdsourced transcription projects in order to engage users with their collections. Some LAMs explicitly use crowdsourcing projects to make non‐machine‐readable images of documents, such as manuscripts, discoverable to people who are blind or have low vision. We present findings from Crowdsourced Data: Accuracy, Accessibility, Authority (CDAAA), a 3‐year Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant project that investigates whether and how LAMs integrate crowdsourced transcriptions into their discovery systems, and whether these efforts result in accessible web‐content for blind people and those with low vision who use assistive technology to navigate the web. We share research findings as well as practical suggestions for those in charge of crowdsourcing projects, the resulting transcription data, or similar web‐based textual content such as scholarly editions. These research and practice‐oriented findings are relevant to any national or local context where inaccessible images are transcribed, and are especially timely in the US context given recent Federal rule‐making to ensure that all web and app‐based content provided by US State and local governments is accessible, including tools, resources, and content created in‐house, through contracts or by license (2024).
