Identification, recognition and misidentification syndromes: a psychoanalytical perspective

Abstract: Misidentification syndromes are currently often understood as cognitive disorders of either the “sense of uniqueness” (Margariti and Kontaxakis, 2006) or the recognition of people (Ellis and Lewis, 2001).
