Uncertainty is the main feature of the business environment in the post-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) era. People taking leadership positions in an uncertain environment constantly encounter unprecedented risks and challenges. Many of them have difficulties adapting to such an environment and thus experience severe anxiety, showing the symptoms of social anxiety disorder (SAD), failing to exert effective leadership in social interaction contexts. How can leaders overcome SAD and effectively motivate their subordinates in an uncertain environment? This study explores the important role of psychological resilience. Using sample data collected from 82 leaders and 363 subordinates of eight enterprises in China from May to June 2020, the current study reveals that a high degree of psychological resilience enables leaders to maintain intrinsic motivated at work in an uncertain environment. Leaders with a high degree of psychological resilience perform better in identifying the organizations’ vision and displaying visionary leadership than those with a low degree. The current study enriches the knowledge of leaders’ psychological well-being and effective leadership in the post-COVID-19 era.

The development of information technology (IT) has significantly changed the way organisations operate and communicate. In the digital era, organisations that want to remain competitive and relevant must be able to manage information technology changes well. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of leadership in managing information technology change and its impact on organisational HR. This research is a literature review that utilises qualitative methods, which means that it will analyse and interpret data by utilising information and text derived from various sources. The results of the study show that the role of leadership in managing information technology change is very important in the ever-evolving digital era. Leaders must have a deep understanding of technology, formulate a digital transformation strategy, and guide the organisation through the change. The impact of effective leadership is increased productivity, innovation, and organisational competitiveness. However, technological change also impacts the organisation's people, and leaders must ensure that people have the necessary skills and knowledge, and create a culture that supports innovation and continuous learning.

Continuous Improvements (CI) is well-known for its significance in driving and facilitating process and products improvements in organizations. For decades, large organizations used CI to improve and streamline process and workforce. CI thinking and adoption is critical for IT functions to improve aspects such as innovation, team productivity, service reliability, and cost optimization. The role of organization culture, leadership, employee engagement become key for adoption of CI to ensure stability, scalability, and sustainability to business functions through right tools, technologies, and services. There is need for research on the influence of trio on adoption of CI in the context of IT. The trio are interrelated components that play a crucial role in the success and sustainability of any organization. The aim of this study is to evaluate these three factors, its influence on adoption of CI by IT function using a quantitative approach. This study engages IT stakeholders from ITES, global companies which have their global IT development centres in India to ascertain their views. The finding of the study shows organization culture has a strong influence on adoption of CI in IT. This study can provide critical insights to management in streamlining IT practice, design organization mechanisms for better adoption of CI in IT.
