“…Some possible reasons for this have already been mentioned. In addition, conducting an on-road test requires specific competences on the part of the OT including the knowledge needed to determine a standardized route and to use an appropriate scoring sheet, for example P-Drive (18). When the OT does not have the opportunity to conduct the on-road test, and the responsibility for it is left to a driving instructor or a driving examiner, this implies that there is no observer who can verify whether clinically detected impairments have an impact on driving behaviour.…”

“…In the present study infit and outfit statistics were concurrently analysed in order to get as much information as possible about the psychometric properties of the META. Acceptable goodness-of-fit was indicated by an infit and outfit MnSq ≤ 1.4 (33) associated with z < 2 (22), a criteria used earlier in development of assessments of clinical observations (34,35).…”

“…P-Drive was used to score the participants' driving performance (what the driver did), observed during the test in the simulator. P-Drive has demonstrated evidence of internal scale and person response validity (13,28). In P-Drive, 20 items (for a complete overview of the items/actions covered in P-Drive, see (28)) are scored using a criterion-referenced rating, based on the quality of performance on a scale from 4 to 1, where 4 0competent driving action, 30questionable driving action, 2 0problematic driving action, and 1 0incompetent driving action.…”

“…An assessment tool to measure driving ability in a driving simulator, P-Drive (Performance Analysis of Driving Ability), has recently been developed. P-Drive measures what the driver actually does during a driving evaluation in a realistic setting and measures actions taken during driving at the operational and tactical levels of decision-making according to Michon's (12) hierarchical model of driving (13,14). At the operational level the driver makes decisions about the basic manoeuvring of the car, such as steering and braking; at the tactical level the driver makes decisions to better master and adapt to different traffic situations like adjusting speed and planning ahead.…”
